How To Use the QR Code on a Liquid Badge
Liquid Badge uses a QR Code as a backup for the NFC functionality–and in practice it functions the same. Some phones do not support NFC or can be cumbersome if your in a hurry. In case you’re in a position that makes using the QR Code advantageous we’ve put together a simple listing of instructions on how to use the QR Code on a Liquid Badge below.
- Open the QR Code reader (or Camera app) on your phone.
- Hold your device over a QR Code so that it’s clearly visible within your smartphone’s screen.
- A couple of things can happen when you correctly hold your smartphone over a QR Code.
- The phone automatically scans the code.
- A bracket appears around the QR Code and you need to tap it with your finger.
- On some readers, you have to press a button to snap a picture, not unlike the button on your smartphone camera. If necessary, press the button.
- Your smartphone reads the code and navigates to the owners Liquid Badge Profile. From there you can download their vCard which adds them to your Contacts. It may take a few seconds on most devices.
